Welcome to Ease The  Hustle.  My name is Lise, founder of the Ease The Hustle website.  I am a happily married Mom living in a small town and work the Monday to Friday work week for a great company.  Sounds like a pretty typical gig; which is the case, and this gig gets busy!

(Liser) The people pleaser

As one who hates to disappoint, I have always found it difficult to decline taking on tasks when asked, sometimes I take on more than I should.  I get a case of “FOMO” when it comes to social functions and will commit to anything that comes up if nothing is already planned.  Especially after the lockdowns we’ve had, who doesn’t want my to spend as much time as possible with family and friends after we couldn’t for that span of time?!.  I was fortunate to stay in my career role through the pandemic and my work days have been steady, enough to put in extra hours over the last couple of years.  I have a child in competitive dance which entails many hours and days at the studio, my main part of the dance life is chauffeuring of course.

With the crazy hustle of life, there never seems to be enough time in a day.  I have had several days of feeling deflated and exhausted; being pulled in all directions and getting distracted from tasks, leading to misses and mistakes.  Thus increasing the stress factor and feeling anxious.  Over the last while, I have tuned in on the importance of taking at least some point of each crazy day to focus on myself.  Whether it’s meditating, doing yoga, going for a walk, taking a nap (I love naps!), reading (which often leads to the nap), I even started to dip into a bit of self hypnosis.  Anything to keep me in a positive state with my mental health and well being.  Even just a half an hour is beneficial.

Stress can cause so many health issues.  When I get overwhelmed and burnt out, my immune system crashes and I end up  coming down with whatever cold/flu is making its way around.  I am also not the most gentle on my hands, they get the brunt of my stress outlet.  If there is a way to control and prevent health issues, a good start is through self love and self care.

This is where Ease The Hustle comes in…

I know I’m not alone, most of us have a lot going on in life that can be so consuming.  I want this site to be a go-to hub for anyone who needs to take a time out for themselves.  Let this be a reference place to bring on the good feels; putting you in a happy place either mentally, physically or spiritually.  No matter what your life situation is; it is so important to set aside that time to focus on just yourself so you can put your best self back out there!

What this brings

The goal of this site is to touch on all things self care.  Ease The Hustle covers anything that makes oneself happy.  It brings me joy to know others are in a good place.  As I am going through this self care practice myself, why not share the tools and have you join me?!
